Preparing Data

Getting a dataset ready for reliable estimation.

Before building a model, check for missing values and confirm the sample size is adequate for the model's complexity -- the Sample Size & Power Analysis tool (Calculate menu) can compute the minimum sample size a given model realistically needs.

Indicator scales matter: PLS-SEM estimation assumes indicators are measured on comparable, meaningful scales. Review variable types in the dataset editor before assigning indicators to constructs.

If you plan to test for common method bias, endogeneity, or non-normality, note that separately -- ResearchPLS surfaces relevant diagnostics (e.g. the Gaussian Copula approach for endogeneity) alongside the analysis they support, not as a separate pre-processing step.
