1. Overview

This policy describes how Otalent360 ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the ResearchPLS desktop application and this website (https://researchpls.otalent360.com).

2. Your research data

Datasets, models, and analysis results you create in the ResearchPLS desktop application are stored locally on your own device. We do not upload, access, or process your research data as part of running an analysis.

3. Information we collect

This website and the desktop application may collect:

  • Your email address, to identify your account, track your one-time free trial, and link a purchase to a license.
  • Purchase and billing information, handled directly by our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy -- we do not receive or store your full payment card details.
  • A device identity: when you activate ResearchPLS on a device, that device generates its own cryptographic key pair locally and sends us only its public key -- never the private key, which never leaves your device. We store the public key, an activation timestamp, and a last-seen timestamp to enforce the one-device license terms described in our Terms of Service. We do not collect hardware serial numbers, MAC addresses, or other invasive device fingerprints.
  • A record of license-relevant events (e.g. activation, deactivation, subscription status changes) for security and support purposes.
  • Standard, non-identifying web analytics for this website (e.g. page views), if enabled.

4. How we use information

We use the information above to provide and support the ResearchPLS product: processing purchases, verifying and activating licenses, responding to support requests, and improving the product and this website.

5. Third-party services

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy under its own privacy policy. This website may be hosted on Vercel, which processes standard technical request data (e.g. IP address) as part of serving the site.

6. Data retention & your choices

We retain license and purchase records for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. You can request deletion of personal information we hold about you (outside of your own local research data, which we never receive in the first place) by contacting us.
