1. Agreement
These Terms govern your use of the ResearchPLS desktop application and this website, provided by Otalent360. By downloading, installing, or purchasing a license for ResearchPLS, you agree to these Terms.
2. Free trial
Each account is entitled to one 7-day free trial, once, for the lifetime of that account -- with access to: Data import (CSV, Excel, TXT), Visual model building, Basic result visualization, PLS-SEM algorithm. This entitlement is tracked by our license server against your account, not by anything stored on your device; reinstalling ResearchPLS, deleting local application data, or using a different device does not grant an additional trial. Advanced analyses and professional features require an active paid license.
3. License grant & device binding
A paid ResearchPLS license is $79.99 per year, billed on a recurring annual basis through Lemon Squeezy, and covers 1 user on 1 active device at a time. Activating a device registers that device's cryptographic key with your license; attempting to activate a second device while one is already active will be denied until you deactivate the first. You may deactivate your license on one device and activate it on another at any time through the application. Licenses may not be shared across multiple simultaneous users or devices, and copying activation data between devices does not constitute a valid activation.
4. Billing & cancellation
Your subscription renews automatically each year unless canceled. Billing, invoices, and cancellation are managed through Lemon Squeezy's customer portal, linked from your purchase confirmation email.
5. Acceptable use
You may not reverse engineer, redistribute, resell, or circumvent the license activation system of the ResearchPLSapplication, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits.
6. Your data
You retain full ownership of any dataset, model, or result you create in ResearchPLS. See our Privacy Policy for how information is handled.
7. Disclaimer & limitation of liability
ResearchPLS is provided "as is". While built for statistical rigor, ResearchPLS does not warrant that results are free of error or fit for any particular publication or regulatory standard -- responsibility for interpreting and reporting research findings remains with the user. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Otalent360 is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the application.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of ResearchPLS after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
